In light of the continuing lockdown, and social distancing measures, The Lehigh Valley Area Local will be holding a “virtual Union meeting” on Sunday, May 17, 2020 at 12:00 pm.  This is a rescheduling of the May 2020 regular general membership meeting with reports, updates, motions, and a "good of the local" open forum at the end. 

     The agenda for the meeting includes:

      
      -  Officer Reports (President, Secretary, Treasurer)

      -  Craft Reports (Clerk, Maintenance, Motor Vehicle)

      -  COVID-19 updates

      -  Status of Iron Pigs and Hershey Park Picnic

      -  Discuss the new contract

      -  Discuss pending dues increase:  Accept or Waive? (with vote to follow)

         -  Question and Answer period

     All Lehigh Valley Area Local members, in good standing are welcome to participate.  Members will be able to join the meeting using their computer, laptop, tablet, cell phone, or by landline.   Digital media users will have the option of a video link.  While it is not required, members may wish to download the gotomeeting app for full functionality.  Landline attendees will have audio only.

     Members who wish to "attend" the May 17th meeting can obtain the log information by:

• Sending an email to meeting@lvapwu.org.  Include your name, office, and employee ID number (for verification purposes).  Or

• Contacting the union office for meeting log-in details.  Or

• (For members at the LVP&DC) Speaking with a Local Officer or Steward.

     This is our first attempt hosting a meeting of this type.  We are working to ensure that things go smoothly and hope we are successful.  We hope that many members will join us for this meeting.  If you have any questions, send them to the email address above, or call the Union office.
